Shoplifters arrested and charged!

3 shoplifters were arrested Friday 20th March 2026 after £483 of alcohol from Tesco in Collier Row was stolen and have all been charged and remanded to court!

Your local SNT officers were on patrol in Collier Row when a call from Tesco, Collier Row was made directly to the SNT by the manager to report that they had shoplifters currently in the store stealing alcohol. The manager had a video recording of the people involved that was shared with officers and was key to identify the suspects as officers searched for them.

With the assistance of members of the public, officers were informed that the suspects had gotten onto a 247 bus towards Romford. Officers quicklycaught up with the bus and found the suspects with the stolen alcohol!

All 3 suspects were arrested and subsequently were found to have also been wanted for various other shoplifting offences, failing to appear at court and 1 of them was wanted for recall to prison. 

Following a further search, 1 person was found in possession of Cannabis and another found in possession of an offensive weapon and were further arrested.

The alcohol was recovered and returned to Tesco in Collier Row where it was valued at £483. 

All 3 suspects have been charged and have been remanded to court!
